NFL officials are fed up with a certain celebration from a few Detroit Lions players on offense.
On the St. Brown Podcast, Amon-Ra said refs for their recent matchup against the Los Angeles Rams took issue with their first drive celebration—mimicking picking their nose and flicking the booger away, while mimicking a first down pose.
Yes, really.
St. Brown says he does it, Jahmyr Gibbs does it, and Jameson Williams does it.
“We do it the first drive. Our receiver coach comes (over) after the first drive, ‘Hey man, ref said you guys can’t do that no more.’ I’m like, what the f***,” St. Brown said on his podcast.
He went on to wonder — why is that so bad?
“I want to know. NFL, why can’t I dig in my nose and flick it? There’s no way. What is bad about that? Is that disrespectful… Is that derogatory?”
His brother, Equanimeous St. Brown, replied with a simple answer: “They’re anti-fun.”
