The Philadelphia Eagles are 8-4 heading into their Monday Night Football matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers, and the expectations for change are high.
The Eagles should be fresher coming off a mini-bye week, and only two players were listed out for this game — Lane Johnson and Jalen Carter. Both players are must-have guys who are both preparing to be available later in the season and into the postseason. Unfortunately, if the Eagles don’t turn things around, the playoffs aren’t exactly guaranteed.
The defense needs to be able to stop the run and the offense needs to find way to get first downs and sustain drives. They need to stop committing so many pre-snap penalties, find a way to win the turnover battle, and be more efficient for 60 whole minutes.
This Eagles team has all the pieces they need to be an electric and exciting team to watch, but they’ve failed to figure out ways to show it. Monday night against the Chargers is a really important step in changing the vibes through the rest of the regular season.
