I really don’t know how to feel about this game.
I don’t think the Los Angeles Chargers are amazing. Especially with Justin Herbert banged up.
But the Bolts aren’t afraid to the commit to the run. The Eagles had a lot of trouble stopping that the last time they played. And now they don’t have Jalen Carter.
Philly’s pass rush should be able to get after a pretty bad Chargers offensive line. But even if we’re to believe that the defense comes to play, which isn’t impossible … how the hell can anyone possibly trust this Eagles offense to get it right? Let alone against a formidable Chargers defense?
I was willing to give the Eagles some benefit of the doubt after a loss to the Dallas Cowboys. I liked them to beat the Chicago Bears. But they got blown out by a team that really isn’t very good.
When it comes to making a decision between two options, I like to consider what I would what regret more. In this case, I just refuse to believe the Eagles are going to do some good things on offense when I actually see it happen. The bigger regret would be expecting something different when they’ve shown us over and over who they are.
Or, really, what they aren’t.
