8-5, three losses in a row, and once again the Colts would have been better off just forfeiting the Duval game in advance. Starting quarterback Daniel Jones is done for the year with a torn Achilles, and that is basically the season for Indy, a season that started 7-1 and looked all but destined for the playoffs. It ends in heartbreak once again, and this one hurts even more because it seemed like we finally got over that hump. Being a Colts’ fans can suck sometimes, most of the time really, and this is one of those days where it really stings.

MVP of the Game: The final whistle

There was nothing positive about this one, there is absolutely zero stuff that I feel positive about coming out of yesterday’s game. I honestly cannot find a single silver lining. All we can be thankful for is that the game ended and that we do not have to play again in Duval until next year.

Dud of the Game: The Colts

It was bad luck that Jones tore his Achilles, even though I put some on the blame on Steichen for asking too much the past couple of weeks for a guy with a broken fibula, when you have an All-Pro caliber running back to run the ball and take some pressure off. With Riley Leonard, or perhaps Joe Flacco who knows, this team is not winning a single game remaining in their schedule. Another promising season has been thrown down the drain. And what is even worse is that the Colts traded away their two first round picks for Sauce Gardner. Team just needs to shut down DeForest Buckner and the aforementioned Gardner, and hope for steady quarterback play next season.

Speaking of next season, hopefully it is with a new head-coach. I do not think that Steichen is a winner. I think he is a smart football guy, but his teams collapsing late is now a real issue for concern, and he has not shown he has what it takes to lead a team. I don’t see it happening, but I would like a different head-coach next year. Steichen is Frank Reich 2.0, where he is not bad enough to be obviously fired, but he is nowhere near good enough to elevate a roster and take it to the next level.

Best play of the Game: Vacant

Game sucked, it ended our season, nothing good ever happens in Duval.

Worst play of the Game: Daniel Jones injury

I expected a loss, I was ready for a loss, but losing Daniel Jones basically means the Colts’ season is over. There is no way that the Colts manage to beat the Texans away, the Niners, or the Seahawks. Jaguars at home could be a winnable game, but nine wins is not enough to make the playoffs. Not only that, but what are the Colts going to do with the quarterback position next season? Does anyone know where the hell is Anthony Richardson? Once again, there is no way of telling who the Colts’ starting quarterback will be next season, and that is the worst problem a franchise can have.

Unsung hero: Grover Stewart

There is not a single player I like more than Stewart on this team, and he seemed to be the only Colt that wanted to win yesterday. He got the forced fumble that was perhaps the last time the Colts had a bit of hope, and overall just played with such an intense effort that he was the only player I felt bad for when the game ended.

Best position group: Wide receivers

Michael Pittman Jr., Alec Pierce, and Josh Downs all had solid games against the Jags. It did not matter at all in the end, and most of the production came when the game was already over, but they had a good game. Hopefully Alec Pierce is still a Colt next season because he is a darn good football player.

Rookie of the Week: Vacant

I am not honoring either Tyler Warren or J.T. Tuimoloau with the award this week because no one produced enough to warrant getting any sort of recognition.
