Lions, Cowboys inactives, news: Amon-Ra St. Brown WILL PLAY

The Detroit Lions (7-5) and Dallas Cowboys (6-5-1) have declared their inactives ahead of their Week 14 matchup at Ford Field on “Thursday Night Football.” In case you missed it earlier today, the Lions made a handful of roster moves, including placing TE Brock Wright on injured reserve, signing CB Nick Whiteside to the active roster, and downgrading current starting left guard Kayode Awosika to OUT for this game.

The biggest news most fans have been waiting for surrounds Lions’ ALL-Pro WR Amon-Ra St. Brown, who WILL PLAY Thursday night.

The Lions apparently saw some positive progress in Amon-Ra St. Brown’s ankle injury during pre-game warm-ups, as he is not listed among the inactives for this game, which means he is very likely to play against the Cowboys. Originally given a 1-2 week injury outlook, St. Brown was insistent that he’d have a chance to play this week, and he’s once again beat the odds. While St. Brown could see limited action in this game, having him available at all is a tremendous benefit.

If you missed any of the team’s roster transactions this week or need a refresher on our updated depth chart, with position-by-position rankings as well as a visual overview, we’ve got you covered. We also delivered a plethora of game previews leading up to this game, including Jeremy’s On Paper game preview, Al’s best statistical matchups, a bold prediction for the game from Brandon, Ryan explores 5 questions with a Cowboys writer, and the POD staff makes their pick-em predictions.

With just one player elevated for this game, the Lions’ roster sits at 54 players on the game-day roster, and with 48 eligible to play, Detroit needs to declare six players inactive for today’s matchup.

Lions inactives:

Cowboys inactives:

  • LT Tyler Guyton (ankle) — Ruled OUT on Wednesday
  • WR Jalen Tolbert
  • RB Jaydon Blue
  • DT Jay Toia
  • DT Perrion Winfrey
  • EDGE Jadeveon Clowney
