The Eagles are 8-4 and still lead the NFC East, but things are not going well in Philadelphia and fans are not very confident in this team figuring it out anytime soon.
After the embarrassment that was a loss to the Bears on Black Friday, Eagles fans are more dejected than any other point of the season, with only 16 percent of fans still confident in this team’s outlook.
The highs and lows of being an Eagles fan can be dramatic, and it has been changing weekly this season. Coming off their second Super Bowl win, outlook was optimistic, but we quickly learned that there were going to be some growing pains in 2025. By Week 7 the writing was on the wall, but it only took one perfect performance by QB Jalen Hurts for everyone to be way up in the weeks that followed.
It didn’t last long, though. The team didn’t look improved coming out of the bye week in Week 9, and after two losses in a row, fans have lowered their expectations and started preparing for what feels inevitable — a repeat of the 2023 collapse.
It’s not at all surprising that confidence would be low in a team that has found very few answers to their offensive struggles through 13 weeks. There are parts of the team, aside from the offense, that haven’t been disastrous — but this isn’t really the week to talk about those.
