There were more than a few former Eagles competing in a revenge game on Black Friday as members of the Bears roster, and they all got the last laugh.
The Eagles were embarrassing for the better part of 60 minutes and did little to instill any confidence moving forward. It shouldn’t be surprising that C.J. Gardner-Johnson, who has been tossed around by the Philadelphia organization the past few years, decided to kick his old team when they’re down.
As CJGJ exited the field on Friday, this time going back to the visiting locker room, he made sure to remind folks, “What’d I say? They’re gonna fold!”
Unfortunately, he’s not wrong. And based on the way the Eagles played, they deserve to hear it from their former starting safety.
Gardner-Johnson has bounced around to a few teams after being traded to the Texans by the Eagles in the spring, but, now with Chicago, he’s found a place to carve out a role and a place that seems to embrace his aggressive personality.
He’s not the only former Eagles DB taking a shot at his former team either, with Isaiah Rodgers stirring the pot for his old teammate CJGJ.
