Here is a look at how the Las Vegas Raiders’ rookie class fared in a 24-10 home loss to the Cleveland Browns in Week 12 and what it means looking ahead to Sunday’s road game at the Los Angeles Chargers.
Ashton Jeanty:
The No. 6 overall draft pick continues to play hard through a tough situation. He had 58 yards on eight receptions with one touchdown and is up to 37 catches on the season. He had 50 yards on 17 carries. It’s been a roughs season, but Jeanty is trying to be a factor.
Jack Bech:
The second-round pick logged just nine offensive snaps for the second straight games. He was not targeted against the Browns. At this point, Bech is an afterthought. Perhaps interim offensive coordinator Greg Olson will try to get him involved. Meanwhile, 33-year-old Tyler Lockett played a whopping 60 snaps. He has 141 snaps in four games as a Raider, while Bech has 32 in that same period. What are we doing here?
Darien Porter:
Porter started for the third time in the past four games, but he played just 25 snaps. Kyu Blu Kelly played 26. So, the Raiders are still limiting their third-round pick, who hasn’t played more than 49 percent of the snaps the past three games.
Caleb Rogers:
Well, there was some progress. The third-round pick was active against Cleveland for just the second time this season. he was expected to play in Week 11 against Dallas with Jackson Powers-Johnson injured. But he was inactive. Reportedly, a bad practice last week changed those plans. Still, Rogers didn’t play against the Browns. Let’s see if he is active at the Chargers.
Charles Grant:
The offensive lineman, taken in the third round, has been active for six games because Kolton Miller is out for with a high-ankle sprain, but he hasn’t played on offense.

Dont’e Thornton:
The wide receiver, taken in the fourth round, played 38 percent of the snap for the second straight game (the second lowest of the season). He was targeted twice and he had one catch for 14 yards. He has seven catch for 112 yards this season. He is just isn’t making an impact yet.
Tonka Hemingway:
The fourth-round pick was a surprise healthy scratch after playing a season-high 38 snaps in Week 11. He has been inactive seven times this season. Hemingway is all of these rookies. There’s no reason why he isn’t getting more playing time.
JJ Pegues:
The defensive tackle, taken in the sixth round, played for the third time and the first time since Week 5. He played 14 snaps and had two tackles. He should continue to play.
Cody Lindenberg:
The seventh-round pick played 84 percent of the snaps on special teams, which is his normal range.
Carter Runyan:
The undrafted free agent tight end played seven snaps on offensive and 21 snaps on special teams. It was his most active overall game.
