Following Sunday’s 24-10 loss the Las Vegas Raiders made the decision to fire offensive coordinator Chip Kelly, who was previously made the highest paid OC in the NFL this off-season as the Raiders drew him away from Ohio State. The Raiders offense ranked bottom three in majority of offensive categories and allowed 10 sacks vs the Browns in their loss. The firing comes as the second coordinator Las Vegas has fired this season after moving off of special teams coordinator Tom McMahon a few weeks earlier.
The Raiders have yet to name an interim OC, though QB coach and former offensive coordinator Greg Olson is the leading candidate due to his experience in the role. The Raiders sit at 2-9 following Sunday’s loss with a matchup vs the Chargers this weekend.
