Coming off a rough loss in the primetime spotlight, the Detroit Lions are hoping for a comfortable win against the 2-9 New York Giants this week.

Back in front of a home crowd, the Lions are looking to shake off a bad loss and add another tally in the win column on the road to the playoffs.

At Pride of Detroit, we’ve got Giants’ offensive and defensive scheme breakdowns from Erik Schlitt, a Q&A with our Giants counterparts at Big Blue View from Ryan Mathews, a scouting report from Brandon Knapp, and a new “On Paper” from Jeremy Reisman.

Once you’re done with all that, I compiled some Week 12 predictions, thoughts, and score predictions from national NFL analysts and writers… it’s as unanimous as you think it is.

CBS Sports’ Pete Prisco: Lions 31, Giants 10

“The Lions are coming off a tough loss to the Eagles and now must regroup at home against a Giants team that isn’t going anywhere. The Giants might have Jaxson Dart back at quarterback this week, but it won’t matter who plays quarterback. This will be about the Lions offense getting back on track after disappointing last week. They roll.”

Sporting News’ Bill Bender: Lions 31, Giants 16

“The Lions are 3-1 at home, and they won those games by an average margin of 23.3 points per game. Jameis Winston had two turnovers in the loss to the Packers in Week 12. Detroit will get on track in a convincing fashion here to get ready for the rematch with Green Bay on Thanksgiving.”

Pro Football Talks’ Mike Florio: Lions 45, Giants 20, and Chris Simms: Lions 38, Giants 20

“This is not a good week to be playing the Lions in Detroit.”

All five NFL.com analysts are rolling with the Lions. Tom Blair: Lions 31, Giants 19

“I do respect the possibility that New York will get some productively chaotic quarterbacking on Sunday, whether Jaxson Dart is able to suit up or Jameis Winston gets another turn. And the Lions’ inconsistency this season is a concern. Ultimately, though, they have top-five units on both sides of the ball, and I trust Dan Campbell to seize this opportunity to get things lined up for the stretch run.”

All six members of USA Today’s sports staff backed the Lions.

“While the Giants were able to keep it close against Green Bay, they won’t get lucky again without Jaxson Dart. So long as Dan Campbell doesn’t pass up on 25 field goals again, this shouldn’t be much of a struggle for the Lions.” — Jon Hoefling

Finally, all eight of the experts who were polled at ESPN think the Lions will pull off a win.

And onto the rest of your notes.
