We’re heading into the penultimate weekend of the college football regular season, and the Heisman race is still wide open.

Here are my current Heisman rankings going into Week 13. Current betting odds to win the award are via DraftKings Sportsbook.

1. QB Julian Sayin, Ohio State (+170)

Sayin’s 93.4 passing grade leads all quarterbacks in the nation by nearly three points. He has had historic accuracy numbers this year. Sayin’s 80.1% completion rate would be the all-time record if it stands, while his 84.9% adjusted completion rate would be second in PFF history behind Bo Nix’s 85.5% mark in 2023.

2. QB Fernando Mendoza, Indiana (-105)

Mendoza remains the betting favorite to win the Heisman Trophy. His 90.9 PFF grade is third among FBS quarterbacks while leading the country with 30 passing touchdowns. The California transfer’s 129.6 passer rating just barely trails Sayin’s 129.8 mark as the best in college football.

3. LB Jacob Rodriguez, Texas Tech (+13000)

Rodriguez is the new highest-graded player in college football, posting a 93.8 grade on the season. His 95.5 run-defense grade and 93.3 coverage grade are each the best among all defenders in college football as well. The former walk-on leads the FBS with seven forced fumbles while leading all linebackers with four interceptions. His 56 defensive stops are also tied for the most among Power Four linebackers.

4. RB Jeremiyah Love, Notre Dame (+2500)

Love entered his junior year as the best running back in college football and has been exactly that this year. He leads all FBS tailbacks with a 92.3 PFF grade while placing fourth in both rushing yards and rushing touchdowns. Love’s 32 explosive runs are third in America, and he’s also sixth among Power Four backs with 274 receiving yards.

5. QB Diego Pavia, Vanderbilt (+1600)

Pavia’s 91.2 PFF grade is second only to Sayin among FBS quarterbacks. His 676 rushing yards are fourth among Power Four signal-callers, and he’s tied for third in the FBS with a 90.3 passing grade. If the Commodores crash the College Football Playoff, expect to see the former New Mexico State quarterback in New York at the Heisman ceremony.
