I was watching the Rich Eisen and Chris Brockman Overreaction Monday show, and Brockman asked Eisen if it was an overreaction to say that the Los Angeles Rams are the best team in the NFL? Eisen said it was not an overreaction.
The Rams have been great, but the truth is that the Philadelphia Eagles own the tiebreaker, due to the Eagles beating them earlier in the year. So, can we say the Rams are the best team in the NFL through 11 weeks?
Well, that’s the fun, sure people can! Is it universally true? Not so much, and that’s part of the fun of sports, everyone can have a different take.
But, what do you think? Are the Rams the current best team in the NFL? Or would you pick someone like the Denver Broncos, New England Patriots or Eagles? Or is there anyone I haven’t named?
Thank you for checking out Turf Show Times, please comment on whatever you want and have a great Tuesday!
“While they were on the clock on draft day, the Rams agreed to send their first-round pick to the Falcons in a trade that included the Falcons’ 2026 first-round pick going to the Rams. The Falcons wanted defensive end James Pearce badly enough that they were willing to give up a lot to get the Rams’ first-round pick, No. 26 overall, and draft Pearce.
Perhaps at the time, the Falcons thought Pearce could be the last piece of the puzzle as they constructed a playoff team. But that hasn’t happened. Pearce has been a part-time player while recording 2.5 sacks this season, and the Falcons are 3-7 and nowhere near playoff contention.“
Week 11 NFL Takeaways: Why the Rams Don’t ‘Have Any Ceiling’ (si.com)
“I don’t think we have any ceiling,” the outside linebacker told me late Sunday after beating the Seahawks. “I know a lot of people say that. I don’t know where ours is. We had a good game today. We held them to a lot of field goals, but we could’ve gotten off the field. We could’ve avoided all that. The touchdown they had, we could’ve avoided that. There are things we could’ve done to stop them. I don’t think there’s no ceiling. We could have shut them out completely, beat them 21-zip.”
5 winners and 2 losers in Rams Week 11 wild win over the Seahawks at SoFi (ramblinfan)
“The 8-2 Los Angeles Rams did what they had to do in Week 11. Despite a less-than-pretty performance on offense, the team managed to squeak out a win against a very good 7-3 Seattle Seahawks team. And now, we have the dubious distinction of drawing a line through the ebb and flow of a game with heroics and failures, oftentimes from the same player.
How do you thread that distinction? Is a winner someone who dominates throughout the game? If so, then is a loser someone who struggles the entire game? For a game that was decided by two points, the margin of error was razor-thin. And so, let’s put head coach Sean McVay to the task of naming players in his post-game presser.“
