After their first divisional loss of the 2025 season, the Minnesota Vikings will get an opportunity to complete a sweep of their divisional road games for the season when they make their annual trip to Wisconsin to face the Green Bay Packers in Week 12. They’ve got an uphill battle ahead of them, however, according to the folks who make the odds at our favorite sportsbook.
According to FanDuel, the Vikings are a 6.5-point underdog heading into Sunday’s matchup at Lambeau Field. This will be the second-largest spread the Vikings have faced as an underdog this season. The first, if you’ll recall, was when they were a 9.5-point underdog heading into their game in Detroit a couple of weeks ago. Not only did they cover the point spread, they won outright, getting out of Ford Field with a 27-24 victory.
The Vikings have lost a couple of winnable games over the past couple of weeks, falling to Baltimore 27-19 in Week 10 and losing 19-17 to Chicago on a last-second field goal this past Sunday. The struggles of quarterback J.J. McCarthy have been well-documented. . .like, really, really well-documented. . .but he is 2-0 in divisional road games as the Vikings starting quarterback so far this season. That should mean something, right?
The Packers, on the other hand, could be going into this one without the services of running back Josh Jacobs. Jacobs suffered a knee injury in the Packers’ victory over the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium, and while he appears to have avoided any serious damage, his injury is being described as “week-to-week” and his availability for Sunday is in doubt.
As our friends from Acme Packing Company have pointed out, this is the sixth time this season that the Packers have been favored by at least 6.5 points. They have yet to cover that point spread in any of the previous five games. The over/under for this one is currently resting at 42.5 points.
Kickoff for this one is set for noon Central time and the game will be shown on the FOX family of networks.
