New York Giants vs. Green Bay Packers final score, results, stats, recap NFL Week 11

Giants fall late to Packers despite gritty effort in 27–20 loss at MetLife

The New York Giants put together one of their gutsiest performances of the season, but it still wasn’t enough. A late touchdown by Jordan Love pushed the Green Bay Packers past New York 27–20 on Sunday afternoon at MetLife Stadium, handing the Giants their fifth straight loss and dropping them to 2–9.

New York briefly grabbed momentum late in the fourth quarter when Jameis Winston, starting in place of the injured Jaxson Dart, powered in a 1-yard rushing touchdown to cap a marathon 15-play, 85-yard drive. It gave the Giants a 20–19 lead with just over five minutes remaining, a surge MetLife hadn’t felt in weeks.

But the lead didn’t last.

On Green Bay’s next possession, Love who had exited earlier with a shoulder injury returned to deliver a perfectly placed 17-yard strike to Christian Watson for the go-ahead touchdown. A successful two-point try stretched the deficit to 27–20, and the Giants couldn’t answer on their final drive.

Winston’s performance was a roller coaster, mixing tough third- and fourth-down conversions with a handful of near-turnovers the Packers failed to catch. Devin Singletary kept the Giants afloat with two rushing touchdowns, but New York struggled to convert key opportunities. A failed fourth-and-short at the Packers’ 10 and a missed extra point loomed large as the game tightened.

Defensively, the Giants delivered pressure in flashes but couldn’t get off the field late. A 32-yard completion allowed Green Bay to flip the field on the game-winning drive — one of several explosive plays that burned New York at crucial moments.

Interim head coach Mike Kafka saw improved fight from his group, but the same issues continue to haunt the Giants: stalled red-zone trips, missed chances, and a defense that has struggled to close games.

With the season slipping away, the Giants return to work searching for answers and their first win since Week 5.
