While the Las Vegas Raiders dropped their Thursday Night Football contest against the Denver Broncos and had a mini bye over the weekend, let’s check in on how Week 10 treated a few former Raiders: Jakobi Meyers, Davante Adams and Robert Spillane.
Jakobi Meyers
- Game result: 29-36 Jaguars lose
- Stats: 3 catches, 41 yards
We’ll get things started with the newest former Raider, as Meyers was traded on Tuesday and was Jacksonville’s leading receiver on Sunday while Brian Thomas Jr. was out and Travis Hunter remains on injured reserve. Granted, the Jags only threw for about 160 yards, and this was a tough game for them, blowing a 29-10 lead in the fourth quarter. On another note, Meyers also shared a message to his former teammates: “Shoutout to my boys in Vegas. It’s going to turn around. Y’all boys keep playing hard. I love y’all boys, I miss y’all boys.”
Davante Adams
- Game result: 42-26 Rams win
- Stats: 6 catches, 77 yards, 1 TD
The Rams scored on their opening possession and pretty much waltzed their way to a win over the division-rival 49ers, with Adams’ contributions going a long way as the team’s leading receiver. That puts some distance between Los Angeles (7-2) and San Francisco (6-4) in the NFC West and wild card standings, on top of allowing the team to keep pace with the Seattle Seahawks (7-2) for first place. Also, we’re continuing to monitor his career touchdowns, and another score puts him ahead of Tony Gonzalez for eighth place and just four behind Antonio Gates for seventh.
Robert Spillane
- Game result: 28-23 Patriots win
- Stats: 9 tackles, 1 TFL, 1 PD
This was a massive win for the Patriots. Not only did they take down a quality opponent in the Buccaneers, but New England also increased its lead in the AFC East to a game and a half above Buffalo with the Bills’ loss on Sunday. So, the Colts, Patriots and Broncos all sit at 8-2 with the No. 1 seed in the division on each team’s mind heading into the last eight weeks of the regular season. Spillane was a big factor in this one as the team’s second-leading tackler.
