The Miami Dolphins are undergoing another shake-up in their front office.

According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the team has parted ways with co-directors of player personnel Adam Engroff and Anthony Hunt. Both Engroff and Hunt were the longest-tenured members of the organization’s front office, as noted by Omar Kelly of the Miami Herald.

Just a few weeks ago, the Dolphins made the decision to part ways with Chris Grier, who was with the team for over 20 years, serving the last nine of those years as the team’s general manager. Both Engroff and Hunt have spent over 20 years with the team as well, with the former joining the team in 1999, and the latter in 1994.

Engroff joined as an area scout, eventually worked his way up to director of college scouting in 2016, and then was promoted to co-director of pro personnel in 2019, and held the position until today. Hunt had a similar path to the top, and was promoted to co-director of pro personnel in 2013. It’s unclear exactly how much influence either Hunt or Engroff had in the Dolphins lack of success since the turn of the century, but it’s worth nothing that both individuals outlasted multiple owners, general managers, and coaches.

Nonetheless, this decision signals another step in what appears to be a broader restructuring of the Dolphins’ front office, ahead of the 2026 season. It remains to be seen if any other long-tenured Dolphins executives will be let go, but interim general manager Champ Kelly is currently calling the shots.

Reports suggest the head coach Mike McDaniel’s job is safe, but things can change. One would expect owner Stephen Ross to make the necessary evaluations at the end of the season, before hiring a new general manager and starting fresh once again.
