On Sunday, the Kansas City Chiefs will go on the road to play the Denver Broncos in a Week 11 matchup at Empower Field at Mile High. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:25 Arrowhead Time.
According to FanDuel Sportsbook, Kansas City has opened as a 3.5-point favorite in the game.
In Week 9, the Chiefs opened as 1.5-point favorites against the Buffalo Bills before losing that game by a score of 28-21. While Kansas City took their scheduled bye week during Week 10, the Broncos are coming off a 10-7 win over the Las Vegas Raiders on “Thursday Night Football.”
Denver’s victory against the Raiders marked their seventh straight win, but the performance of the team’s offense has been heavily scrutinized. Quarterback Bo Nix threw two interceptions as the Broncos scored only 10 points against a Raiders defense that had allowed 30 or more points in three of the previous four outings.
For the Chiefs’ part, they will try to get on track after quarterback Patrick Mahomes completed less than half of his passes for the first time in his career in the loss to Buffalo. Mahomes (with blocking hopefully augmented by returning left tackle Josh Simmons) will need to contend with a feared Broncos pass rush that recorded six sacks against the Raiders. But Denver’s star cornerback Patrick Surtain II — who has a pectoral injury — is expected to be out until after the team’s Week 12 bye.
