Do you approve of the Lions’ inaction at the trade deadline?

Each week, SB Nation tracks NFL fans’ confidence levels of their favorite teams with their Reacts Surveys posted on their team websites. For Pride of Detroit, we are tasked with gauging Detroit Lions fans’ confidence in the team heading into each game. But this week, we’ve added an additional two questions to the mix:

  1. Are you confident the Lions are headed in the right direction?
  2. Do you approve of the Lions’ inaction at the trade deadline?
  3. Which player needs to rebound in order to secure a Lions win in Week 10?

As for the recurring first question, we’ve seen Lions fans’ confidence drop following a loss, and after dropping a divisional game to the Vikings in Week 9, it wouldn’t be surprising to see a decline from last week’s 97% confidence rating. The real question is, will it fall to Green Bay loss levels in the 50s or Kansas City loss levels in the 80s?

For our second question—Do you approve of the Lions’ inaction at the trade deadline?—this is a direct response to last week’s survey question response, where 59% of fans said they wanted the Lions to “be buyers” at the trade deadline, only to see the team not make a move.

For the third question this week—Which player needs to rebound in order to secure a Lions win in Week 10?—we have given fans four choices to pick from:

  • Jared Goff
  • Jahmyr Gibbs
  • Graham Glasgow
  • Terrion Arnold

Goff has a solid statistical game against the Vikings, but watching live, you could see there were some questionable decision-making. Additionally, as part of the pre-snap adjustment team, he certainly could have improved his reads.

Gibbs had one of his worst games as a Lion, only producing 25 yards on nine rushes and three receptions for three yards. His pass-protection had also seen better days.

Glasgow, the other half of the pre-snap adjustment team, struggled to pick up the Vikings’ disguises, and on top of that, put himself in a very difficult situation that he couldn’t recover from.

Arnold is improving in coverage and secured his first interception of his career, but he uncharacteristically struggled against the run, something he took accountability for in the locker room post-game.

So, what do you think? Has your confidence changed? Are you satisfied that the Lions didn’t make a move? And who needs to shore up their mistakes to help the Lions get a win? Vote in the survey below, sound off in the comments, and check back later in the week (likely Saturday) for the results.

Throughout the year, we ask questions of the most plugged-in Detroit Lions fans and fans across the country. If you want to get these surveys emailed to you weekly, sign up here.
