NFL trade deadline 2025: What 2026 NFL Draft picks do Miami Dolphins hold?

The NFL trade deadline is quickly approaching, with just over 24 hours before the 4 p.m. Eastern limit on Tuesday, November 4. The Miami Dolphins have already made one move, sending linebacker Jaelan Phillips to the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for a third-round draft pick. There are several other moves the Dolphins could make as they find themselves in rebuild mode after starting the season 2-7.

While the players who could be sent away as the Dolphins become sellers under interim general manager Champ Kelly, the other assets the team has could be just as interesting. Miami is starting to stockpile draft picks, looking toward the future as the 2025 season slips away from them.

Every team in the NFL starts with seven picks – one per round of the three-day draft process. Those picks can be traded, allowing some teams to acquire additional selections each year while others choose to acquire veteran players or additional picks in a future draft. The Dolphins are already over their initial seven-pick allotment by one pick. Miami’s selections, as of 1:30 p.m. on November 3, include:

Round 1

Round 2

Round 3

Round 3 (from Houston Texans for 2025 picks)

Round 3 (from Philadelphia Eagles for Jaelan Phillips)

Round 4

Round 5
Round 6 (to New York Giants for Darren Waller)

Round 7

The Dolphins are not projected to receive any compensatory picks this year, as their free-agent signings offset the losses of their former players.

This list could continue to grow if the Dolphins are able to work out any additional trades in the next day. Miami could also look to make offseason moves to add more picks once the year is over.

The Dolphins have also made moves with picks in the 2027 NFL Draft, including receiving a fifth-round selection from the Pittsburgh Steelers in the trade for safety Minkah Fitzpatrick, a deal that included tight end Jonnu Smith and cornerback Jalen Ramsey going to Pittsburgh. Miami sent a 2027 seventh-round pick back to Pittsburgh in that deal. The Dolphins may also add a seventh-round pick from the New York Giants from the Darren Waller trade, but there are conditions on that selection – if Waller, who is currently on injured reserve, records at least 50 receptions this season, the Giants will not send the pick to Miami; Waller has 10 receptions through the first half of the season, having played in just four games due to injuries.

Do you think Miami will add any more picks? How many selections do you think they will have when the Draft rolls around in the spring?
