I hope everyone enjoyed their peaceful Sunday last weekend, because we’re back to fretting over the Las Vegas Raiders with their Week 9 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars. While I do think this is a “winable” game for the Raiders, given that the Jaguars have lost back-to-back contests since pulling off an upset against the Kansas City Chiefs. Also, that game was more about Kansas City’s mistakes than Jacksonville outperforming the reigning AFC Champs. However, the Raiders haven’t given any reason to pick them with just one win in their last six attempts, and the victory came against a very bad Tennessee Titans team.

To be honest, I got really lucky last week. I picked the Baltimore Ravens over the Chicago Bears because it was looking like Lamar Jackson was going to play when I made my picks and definitely would have gone with the Bears had I known Jackson wasn’t suiting up. That game ended up being the difference between Bill and me last week, as I went 10-3 to pick up a game on him. I guess it’s true what they say; it’s better to be lucky than good! Meanwhile, Ray is still struggling, finishing last among the writers at 8-5 to fall further behind.
