The Philadelphia Eagles are now 5-2 heading into their Week 8 matchup against the New York Giants (2-5) on Sunday afternoon.
The Eagles are back in the beautiful kelly green uniforms for their NFC East rematch against the Giants. These teams faced off just two weeks ago on Thursday Night Football, in a game which was the final straw of embarrassment for the Eagles. Jalen Hurts and Co. had to leave MetLife Stadium with their second loss of the season and a growing list of mistakes they needed to correct.
The good news is, the Eagles did go on to make those corrections ahead of their Week 7 game against the Vikings. Jalen Hurts threw for over 300 yards and three touchdowns, and finished the game with a perfect passer rating — not to mention DeVonta Smith set a career-high with 183 yards, and A.J. Brown had a season-high 121 yards and two TDs. The run game still struggled, though, with Saquon Barkley getting just 44 yards on 18 carries.
Things will look a little different for both teams on Sunday with several players on both rosters suffering injuries, and the Eagles will notably be without center Cam Jurgens and WR A.J. Brown. Thankfully, the Eagles will have their bye in Week 9, because more than a few players need some time to rest and heal up in order to be able to play through the final stretch of the season.
Here’s everything you need to know about how to watch the game.
