New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo went down with a right leg injury with 8:11 left in the second quarter of Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
After attempting to catch a pass from Jaxson Dart that fell incomplete, Skattebo was on the ground immediately pointing to his right leg.
He was carted off the field with an air cast on his leg. The Giants announced
A fourth-round pick, Skattebo entered the game leading the Giants with 398 rushing yards on 98 carries (4.1 yards per carry). He also had 23 catches for 189 more yards.
On Sunday, Skattebo had three carries for 12 yards and an 18-yard reception for a touchdown.
The Giants were emotional as Dart was taken off the field. Along with rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart, Skattebo has become an emotional leader of a Giants team that is showing progress and has gone 2-2 after an0-3 start.
Without Skattebo, Tyrone Tracy and Devin Singletary will be the team’s running backs the rest of the way.

- Cornerback Cor’Dale Flott was ruled out with a concussion suffered late in the first half when he was accidentally struck by teammate Bobby Okereke.
