The New York Giants need to find some way to move on after a historic loss against the Denver Broncos.
This isn’t the first time the 2025 Giants have had to pick themselves up off the mat. First they (essentially) lost to a historically long field goal in Week 2 against the Dallas Cowboys despite a career performance from Russell Wilson. Then they turned the ball over on five consecutive drives while the defense couldn’t stop a nose bleed against the New Orleans Saints in Week 5. And now last week they squandered a 18-point lead against the Broncos.
We can’t blame all of the problems on the defense — the offense and special teams have certainly contributed their share to the losses. However, Shane Bowen’s squad has all-too-frequently faded in the fourth quarter.
We know Brian Daboll isn’t considering changes to the coaching staff at this time. But “at this time” is also doing quite a bit of heavy lifting, and things can change fast in the NFL. Daboll could easily find himself contemplating an in-season change if things don’t improve.
There was really only one question we could ask you this week:
What should the Giants do about defensive coordinator Shane Bowen?
- Should the Giants get it over with and fire him now?
- Should they wait until the end of the season and give him the chance to learn from, and correct, his mistakes?
- Or should the Giants not fire Bowen at all, as the failures on offense and special teams outweigh the defense’s struggles?
And, as usual, we want to know how confident you are that the team is headed in the right direction. Does Jaxson Dart and the offense scoring 10 touchdowns in two weeks without Malik Nabers have you optimistic for the future, or does the Broncos’ 33-point fourth quarter leave you pessimistic for 2026 and beyond?
