The Minnesota Vikings were defeated at home by the Eagles 28-22. That doesn’t mean everything was bad. There were some solid performances on offense and defense. The team moved the ball effectively between the 20s. Here are a few players that stood out to me.
Jordan Addison
Addison has played well since returning from his early-season suspension. Addison had 9 receptions for 128 yards, but that could’ve been more. Wentz missed several throws, including a deep pass that led Addison out of bounds, where he could have scored. Addison was open all night and the Vikings were unable to take full advantage. PFF grade 73.7
Jalen Redmond
Redmond had a pair of QB pressues and a TFL on Sunday. He has been making a case for more playing time. He can be a disruptive force at times and that is something that has been missing on the defensive line. PFF had a lower view of his performance with a 55.5 grade.
Levi Drake Rodriguez
The Vikings held the Eagles’ running offense in check. Rodriguez deserves a lot of credit for stifling the rush offense and containing Jalen Hurts. Flores clearly focused on the run defense, and Rodriguez executed his role effectively. PFF grade 79.2
Jonathan Allen
Allen might have had his bestgame on Sunday. He was eating up blocks in the middle. He really opened up the LBs to step up and make plays in the run game. Saquon was limited to 44 yards on 18 carries in large part due to his efforts. He was also credited with a three pressures. PFF grade 69.1
Brian O’Neill
O’Neill is the rock on this offensive line. He allowed only 1 pressure on Sunday against a stout defensive front. He was the stabilizing force next to an implosion on the interior. PFF grade 72.6 / Run 60.7 / Pass 81.5
