The Cincinnati Bengals have an offense again thanks to Joe Flacco playing lights out since being acquired two weeks ago.
Now they get some good news about their franchise QB.
According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, Joe Burrow could come back from turf toe for the last few weeks of the season.
”My guess is the last two or three games of the season, [Burrow] has a chance,” he said on NFL on ESPN. “But if they’re alive, then I think we really may see Burrow, which is suddenly pretty realistic.”
If Burrow can come back for the last three games, that would mean he’d return on December 21 to face the Miami Dolphins.
He would then face the Arizona Cardinals on December 28 and the Cleveland Browns on January 4.
It’s still a long ways away, but there are indications that Burrow could be physically ready to play. The bigger question is if the Bengals will still be in position to make it worth the risk.
In the meantime, Cincinnati will continue to turn to Flacco, who was brilliant against the Pittsburgh Steelers last Thursday.
