The official snap counts from the Philadelphia Eagles’ Week 7 win over the Minnesota Vikings are in. Let’s take a look and run through some analysis.

OFFENSE

Eagles-Vikings snap counts: Brett Toth fills in for injured Cam Jurgens

  • Jalen Hurts and Jordan Mailata are the only Eagles players to play 100% of the team’s offensive snaps this season.
  • 50 snaps is a low amount. The previous low for the offense this season was 57 (twice).
  • Dallas Goedert only missed one snap but he saw just three targets for three receptions and 18 yards.
  • A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith combined for 17 targets, 13 receptions, 304 yards, and three touchdowns. Keep feeding them!
  • Saquon Barkley played his second-lowest snap count percentage. He wasn’t having success on the ground and he was evaluated for a concussion at one point.
  • Brett Toth replaced an injured Cam Jurgens at center. Will be interesting to see if the Eagles stick with Toth if Jurgens can’t play in Week 8 … or if they shift Landon Dickerson to the pivot.
  • Jahan Dotson failed to log a target for the second time in seven games this season. This was his third-lowest snap count percentage.
  • Kylen Granson continues to be TE2 with Grant Calcaterra out.
  • The Eagles used Fred Johnson as a sixth offensive lineman more in this game than they have all season. It didn’t really unlock the running game but it’s still preferable to going heavy with extra tight ends who aren’t good at blocking at asking them to block.
  • Will Shipley was RB2 in terms of snap counts played but he did not log a carry while RB3 Tank Bigsby did. This was Bigsby’s first offensive playing time and touch since the Eagles traded for him. Bigsby didn’t play on special teams; he’s been demoted out of his kick returning role. Good. The Eagles outsmarted themselves with that idea.
  • E.J. Jenkins was TE3 after being temporarily elevated from the practice squad. He also played a lot on special teams.
  • Cooper DeJean was on the field for the Eagles’ final kneel down to end the game. He’s there in the very unlikely event that a fumble gets recovered and he needs to chase down the opposing ball-carrier.

DEFENSE

  • Jalen Carter nearly played the entire game despite being ruled questionable to suit up. This was his highest snap count percentage of the season and tied for his highest snap count overall.
  • Jihaad Campbell played at both off-ball linebacker and edge rusher. This was his lowest snap count percentage of the season with Nakobe Dean rotating in.
  • Jalyx Hunt was the Eagles’ top full-time edge rusher. He tied his season-high in snap counts played.
  • Jordan Davis logged a TFL in this game, bringing him up to three in seven games this season, which ties his single-season career-high from last year.
  • Josha Uche playing 48% of the snaps topped his previous high of 42% this season. He logged his first sack in 2025.
  • Moro Ojomo left the game after Kelee Ringo speared him.
  • Dean rotated in at off-ball linebacker.
  • Patrick Johnson played a season-high 38% of the snaps. The Eagles needed to rely on him more heavily than usual with their edge depth being depleted.
  • Adoree’ Jackson started at cornerback but had to leave the game due to a concussion. Kelee Ringo replaced him.
  • Ty Robinson saw some more opportunities after Ojomo left early.
  • Azeez Ojulari started at edge rusher but got hurt early on.

SPECIAL TEAMS

  • Sydney Brown did not play a single defensive snap for the second time this season.
  • Xavier Gipson was active this week to help out at kick returner. He was OK.
  • Not pictured in the graphic above: Jeremiah Trotter Jr. played five special teams snaps before getting ruled out due to injury.

DID NOT PLAY

INACTIVE: Grant Calcaterra, Sam Howell, Drew Kendall, Mac McWilliams, A.J. Dillon

ACTIVE: Tanner McKee, John Metchie

  • Interested to see if Dillon remains on the roster.
  • Metchie didn’t play a single snap for the first time this season.
