Giants vs. Broncos, Week 7: Numbers that matter

Here are a few numbers to know for Sunday’s game between the 2-4 New York Giants and 4-2 Denver Broncos.

From NextGen Stats

  • Cam Skattebo has accounted for 24% of the Giants’ scrimmage yards in 2025. That would be the second-highest share by a Giants rookie since 2000, only behind Saquon Barkley’s 33.5 percent in 2018.
  • Nik Bonitto leads the NFL in sacks with 8.0 in 2025 while the Broncos lead in team sacks with 30. The last team to lead the NFL in sacks and have the individual sack leader in the same season was the 2021 Steelers with T.J. Watt (Watt won 2021 AP Defensive Player of the Year).
  • Jaxson Dart is the third quarterback since 1950 with 50+ rush yards in each of his first 3 career starts. The others to do so were Jalen Hurts in 2020 and Lamar Jackson in 2018. Jackson holds the record with 50+ rush yards in each of his first five starts to start his career.
  • Denver quarterback Bo Nix has passed behind the line of scrimmage on 25.7% of his pass attempts (5th-highest) this season. Against the Jets in Week 6, he attempted only one deep (20+ yard) pass, marking just his second career game without multiple deep attempts. Nix has generated the 2nd-most yards (246) of any quarterback when targeting behind the line of scrimmage this season, along with the most attempts (53). Matchup: The Giants have allowed the 13th-most passing yards (165) from behind the line of scrimmage this season.
  • The Broncos used man coverage on 51.7% of dropbacks against the Jets, continuing to use man at the highest rate (46.1%) of any defense this season, allowing 4.8 yards per play. Riley Moss recorded his lowest target rate in man coverage this season against the Jets (11.8%), allowing just 1 reception for 8 yards, with teammate Patrick Surtain close behind (14.3% target rate), allowing no receptions. Both players have 4 or more passes defended in man coverage this season, one of three teams with multiple cornerbacks to do so.
