The Bengals’ last-ranked run game came alive in the first half with running back Chase Brown blowing through five holes at 15 yards per pop as the Bengals racked up 97 yards on the ground in the first 27 ½ minutes for a season-high. Brown finished the night with 108 yards on the ground.

Flacco passed for 342 yards and three touchdowns, and Evan McPherson made four field goals, including the 36-yard game-winner with seven seconds to play. Bengals star wideout Ja’Marr Chase had 16 catches for 161 yards and one touchdown on a franchise record 23 targets.
McPherson’s go-ahead kick outshined Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who connected with Pat Freiermuth for a 68-yard touchdown with 2:21 left in the fourth quarter to put Pittsburgh ahead 31-30. The 41-year-old quarterback evaded pressure in the pocket and found the tight end open behind the Bengals’ defense for the score.
“We were just laughing at how absurd (the Bengals’ receivers) are,” Flacco added. “They caught a couple balls that (left us shaking our heads). We were sitting there just laughing hysterically about how good they are.”
