Edge defender Abdul Carter showed up on Friday’s New York Giants injury report with a hamstring injury and has been listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos. He practiced fully Wednesday and Thursday, but was limited on Friday. Carter, Brian Burns and Kayvon Thibodeaux form an edge trio critical to the success of the Giants’ defense.
Wide receiver Darius Slayton, who has not practiced all week and did not play in Week 6 vs. the Philadelphia Eagles due to a hamstring injury, has been listed as questionable.
Starting center John Michael Schmitz (concussion) is one of three Giants who have been ruled out. The others are linebackers Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles (hamstring) and Swayze Bozeman (ankle).
Questionable or not, Carter sounded on Friday like someone who expects to play.
Also on the injury report:
- Edge defender Chauncey Golston is doubtful with a neck injury. He did not practice all week.
- Edge defender Victor Dimukeje, on the Physically Unable to Perform list all season with a pectoral injury, practiced fully and is questionable.
