Each week, SB Nation tracks NFL fans’ confidence levels of their favorite teams with their Reacts Surveys posted on their team websites. For Pride of Detroit, we are tasked with gauging Detroit Lions fans’ confidence in the team heading into each game.
Following the Lions’ first loss of the season (in Week 1), fan confidence opened at a surprising 53%. But after four wins in a row (over the Bears, Ravens, Browns, and Bengals), confidence steadily rose into the mid-90s, landing at 94% last week:
Unfortunately, the Lions suffered their second loss of the season in Week 6, falling to the defending AFC Champion Kansas City Chiefs in a primetime road game. As we’ve seen in this week’s power rankings, the Lions’ loss this week won’t do much to shake some people’s confidence, as the Lions simply had a bad game against one of the best teams in the NFL. For others, this loss may indicate that the Lions have more flaws than they’ve shown over the last month, and their confidence could be in flux.
Now, heading into a Week 7 NFC showdown with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on “Monday Night Football,” it’s once again time to vote.
Throughout the year, we ask questions of the most plugged-in Detroit Lions fans and fans across the country. If you want to get these surveys emailed to you weekly, sign up here.
