Survey: How should the Giants approach the trade market?

It has certainly been an eventful three weeks for the New York Giants.

First the Giants bench Russell Wilson for 25th overall pick Jaxson Dart in advance of their game against the Los Angeles Chargers. The Giants, who were 0-3 at that point, promptly upset the 3-0 Chargers in their home opener — but lose star receiver Malik Nabers for the season in the process.

They then go on to collapse against the New Orleans Saints and pretty much everyone is leaving the Giants for dead. Four days later, the Giants don’t so much “upset” the Philadelphia Eagles as impose their will on the reigning Super Bowl Champions.

But it’s also clear that the Giants are a team that is flawed with depth concerns at a few important spots on their roster.

Meanwhile, ESPN’s NFL Insider Adam Schefter is expecting the trade market to be unusually active this year. The loss of Nabers (and Darius Slayton, though he’ll be back), has exposed the Giants’ receiver depth. Likewise, there are concerns with respect to the Giants’ depth in the secondary as well as in the linebacker corps.

With that in mind, we want to know how you think the Giants should approach the trade market.

So, should the Giants:

A) Be buyers – Make moves to acquire players to help the team now.

B) Be sellers – Move depth players for cap relief and future capital.

C) Both – Move players who aren’t in the Giants’ future plans for picks and cap space AND try to acquire other players to patch holes.

D) Stand pat – Don’t make any moves and sit out the trade market.

We should note that the trade deadline is on November 4th, just under 3 weeks away as of this writing. We’ll run this poll again as we get closer to see how opinions change.
