The Miami Dolphins have struggled through the first five weeks of the NFL season, falling to 1-4 with last week’s loss to the Carolina Panthers. Are they going to find a way to bounce back, or are they what their record says they are? The next opportunity for Miami to turn around a miserable 2025 season comes on Sunday as they host the Los Angeles Chargers.
The Chargers enter the week in first place in the AFC West with a 3-2 record. They have had a tough time against the Dolphins in recent years, having won just five times in the 16 games against Miami since 2000.
The broadcast for this game is on CBS, with Andrew Catalon, Charles Davis, and Jason McCourty handling the commentary. This is the third time in Miami’s first six games that Catalon, Davis, and McCourty are covering the Dolphins’ game.
The broadcast area is probably bigger than expected – but that is a result of the Chargers’ presence in the game more than it is anything to do with the Dolphins. East of the Mississippi River, the only region getting the game will be Florida, where the western end of the panhandle is the only part to not have the game as a local option.
West of the Mississippi is a different story, where the vast majority of the country will see the game. Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, Minnesota, and North Dakota will not have the Chargers at Dolphins contest, along with parts of Missouri, Iowa, South Dakota, Montana, and a section of northern California.
Alaska is scheduled to get the game while Hawaii will not.
