This should be straightforward.
Coming off a loss to the Denver Broncos, the Philadelphia Eagles need to go out and beat the New York Giants on Thursday Night Football.
And not just this “a win is a win” bullshit where they mess around and barely come out on top.
No, the Eagles need to make a statement. They need to dominate. That’s what good teams do when they play lesser opponents.
The Giants stink. And they’re banged up. And the Eagles have owned them for a long time now.
The offense needs to get going in a real way. I’d say they need to play a full 60 minutes but they shouldn’t even have to do that. They should be able to build a big lead and get out of there. Tanner McKee should be finishing this game in garbage time.
The defense should be able to stifle a New York offense that’s working with just Wan’Dale Robinson, Jalin Hyatt, and Beaux Collins at wide receiver. I like Vic Fangio to be able to fluster Jaxson Dart. A dormant pass rush should be able to wake up against a less than stellar Giants offensive line.
If the Eagles lose this game, they’re in serious trouble. It really shouldn’t even be close.
