The Baltimore Ravens are 1-4 to start the 2025 NFL season, which means that rumors are starting to circulate about which of their high-talent players the team may be willing to move. One interesting name is veteran tight end Mark Andrews, according to Eric Williams from FOX Sports.
In his eighth season, Andrews is one of the top tight ends in the NFL, and has totaled 5,680 receiving yards, 53 touchdowns, with a career average of 12.5 yards per catch. He struggled a little at the end of the 2024 season, but injuries were a factor, and general Ravens-esc fortune. Plus, the Ravens really like the heir-apparent, Isaiah Likely, as noted by Matt Verderame and Gilberto Manzano for Sports Illustrated.
“The Ravens might be cursed this year, and unloading a 30-year-old, soon-to-be free agent for a draft pick may be wise. Baltimore also has Isaiah Likely, who is clearly Andrews’s successor. With Likely now healthy from a broken foot, Andrews is expendable.“
The Eagles brought back Dallas Goedert, but the rest of the tight end room in Philadelphia is pretty thin. Grant Calcaterra suffered an oblique injury in Week 5 and is expected to miss time, and for an offense that likes to have two tight ends on the field, they don’t have many other options.
Andrews is a 3x Pro Bowler and while a lesser role might not be ideal, playing for the Eagles would at least give him a chance to compete for postseason runs. He is on the final year of a four-year, $56 million contract extension. Sports Illustrated suggested the trade value for Andrews would be a sixth-round pick, which the Eagles have a plethora of over the next couple years.
Do you think the Eagles should trade for Mark Andrews?! Let us know in the comments.
