The New York Giants return home in Week 6 looking to reverse their fortunes after a rough loss to the New Orleans Saints and pick up their second win of the season. They will have to do it against one of the NFC’s toughest teams.
According to FanDuel Sportsbook, the Philadelphia Eagles are 7.5-point road favorites entering Sunday’s matchup at MetLife Stadium. The Giants (1-4) are coming off a 26-14 loss to the Saints, a game marred by turnovers on five straight possessions. The Eagles (4-1) suffered their first loss of the season on Sunday, falling 21-17 to the Denver Broncos.
The Eagles remain one of the NFC’s top teams. Philadelphia’s defense continues to set the tone — ranking second in the league in sacks and keeping opponents on their heels.
What it means for the Giants
A loss would send the Giants to 1-5, putting them in a familiar and difficult position early in the season. Head coach Brian Daboll has faced growing questions about the offense’s identity, and there’s increasing speculation that his job and others could be on the line if things don’t get better in the coming weeks.
The Giants haven’t beaten the Eagles since 2021, losing six straight in the rivalry.
Kickoff is set for Sunday, Oct. 6, at 1 p.m. ET on FOX.
