[UPDATE]: Both Landon Dickerson and Grant Calcaterra were ruled out shortly after halftime against the Broncos.
The Eagles offense started Sunday’s matchup with a three-and-0ut, and by the end of the first quarter, both LG Landon Dickerson and TE Grant Calcaterra were dealing with injuries.
Dickerson very slowly limped off the field just minutes into the game, and Brett Toth came in to replace him. Dickerson appeared to get his ankle re-taped on the trainers table, but didn’t return to the game immediately. Soon after, the team announced the starting left guard was questionable to return, and he ended up retreating to the locker room during the two-minute warning at the end of the first half
As for Calcaterra, he had two catches for 18 yards, and after the second catch, he left the field and ended up heading into the locker room. The TE has had various roles in the offense the past couple seasons, but he does have a connection with Jalen Hurts and the team isn’t exactly stacked at the tight end position.
The offense has struggled to be consistent through four games this season, and that will be an even harder task with more rotating pieces. Hopefully, both Dickerson and Calcaterra won’t be out long, and are able to heal up — Dickerson for his part has been battling never-ending injuries since training camp.
