Jets vs. Dolphins inactive players in Week 4 MNF: Miami heads into game with just four cornerbacks

The Miami Dolphins have been playing shorthanded in their defensive secondary throughout the early portion of the 2025 NFL season, with several key players on reserve lists or missing games due to injury. That problem will only be exacerbated on Monday as they face the New York Jets with just four healthy cornerbacks available for the game.

The team will face New York on Monday Night Football with Cornell Armstrong, JuJu Brents, Rasul Douglas, and Jack Jones available for the game. Ethan Bonner and Storm Duck were both listed as inactive for the game shortly after the team moved Jason Marshall, Jr., to the injured reserve list.

Bonner was listed as questionable on the Saturday injury report for Miami as he deals with a hamstring issue. Duck was ruled out on Saturday with an ankle injury.

Marshall, who has a hamstring injury, joins cornerbacks Artie Burns, Kader Kohou, and Jason Maitre, on IR. Cornerback Cam Smith is on the non-football illness list.

Also inactive for Miami on Monday are quarterback Quinn Ewers, wide receiver Tahj Washington, and defensive tackle Zeek Biggers. Ewers is the team’s emergency quarterback, allowing him to play if both Tua Tagovailoa and Zach Wilson are injured during the game.

The Jets listed edge rusher Jermaine Johnson, wide receiver Tyler Johnson, defensive back Jarvis Brownlee, Jr., running back Kene Nwangwu, tackle Esa Pole, tight end Jelani Woods, and defensive lineman Leonard Taylor III as inactive. Johnson and Brownlee had been ruled out of the game on Saturday as both deal with ankle issues. Nwangwu was doubtful on the injury report with a hamstring injury.

New York sees the return of quarterback Justin Fields on Monday after he missed last week’s game with a concussion. The Miami secondary will be tasked with stopping him, despite their injury-attrited depth chart.
