In week 4, I was able to watch Texas Tech vs Utah and Indiana vs Illinois. The Texas Tech QB got hurt and the backup, Will Hammond, looked really good. The Red Raiders look solid and have to be contenders for the Big 12 title. Indiana handed it to Illinois in a game that was not close at all. Ferndando Mendoza looks like a first round pick already. He had only two incompletions and five TD passes against Illinois. Over the last three games, Mendoza has 14 TD Passes and only 10 Incompletions. He is 6’5” 225 and fairly mobile. Indiana could be tough to beat and the winning formula could be to keep Mendoza off the field. Oklahoma was looking really good but lost their starting QB, John Mateer, to a broken hand. He will be out 4 weeks apparently. The Sooners are off this week then play Kent State, Texas, and South Carolina in the next three weeks. They already had a tough schedule and it will take all they have to beat Texas and maybe South Carolina.

We saw long time Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy get the axe and I am wondering how long does Dabo Swinney have left. Clemson does not look good at all.

I watched the TCU vs Arizona State game last night. It was good. ASU QB Sam Leavitt looks like he is going to be a top pick when he comes out. WR Jordyn Tyson is the real deal. TCU had some players I liked. Linebacker Kaleb Elarms-Orr (#3) was all over the place. Safety Bud Clark was good too. Wide receiver Joseph Manjack IV led TCU in receiving and looks like a really good posession receiver for an NFL team.

Should be a couple of good games today. Oregon vs Penn State is the big game and USC vs Illinois should reveal something about each program. I fear the early start is going to doom my Trojans.
