Indianapolis Colts Injury Report: Tyler Warren, Charvarius Ward Questionable

Indianapolis, INIndianapolis Colts head coach Shane Steichen revealed to the media following Friday’s practice that no players are slated to miss Indy’s first interdivisional matchup of the 2025-26 season versus the Tennessee Titans.

Rookie tight end Tyler Warren and outside cornerback Charvarius Ward (concussion) remain the only players whose availability is still in the air as they are slated as questionable. Warren popped up on the injury report on Wednesday with a toe designation, and although we are unaware of the severity at this point, he has at least seen limited action in the practices since. For what it’s worth, this development has seemingly happened throughout the week, given that head coach Shane Steichen said there were no injuries to report following the Week 2 win over Denver.

Ward’s been in the concussion protocol ever since symptoms popped up in the days following the Colts’ Week 1 victory over the Miami Dolphins. After shedding the non-contact red practice jersey on Wednesday — a midweek indicator that a player is not yet cleared for practice, as well as being the final step before seeing an Independent Neurological Consultant (IDC) — Ward has been in line to return to play against the Titans, so long as no setbacks happen between Friday’s practice and Sunday’s game.

Top edge rusher, second-year defensive end Laiatu Latu (hamstring), participated in all three practices this week and is in line to play this Sunday. After aggravating his hamstring during a Wednesday practice ahead of Week 2, Latu has been out ever since. He logged a limited practice on Wednesday to start the week, but followed that up with back-to-back full showings. Indy’s defense needs his services to return in a big way, as the unit’s pass rush ranks dead last by a wide margin in pressure rate (20.8%) across the league.

Wide receiver Josh Downs (ankle) is slated to play after a brief scare in the form of no practice on Wednesday instilled worry amongst Colts fans far and wide. Downs immediately practiced in full that following day and finished out the week.

Not to be concerned regarding availability, though it’s something to monitor even if everyone is deemed good to go, but left tackle Bernhard Raimann (illness) and linebacker Joe Bachie (quadricep) have lingered on the injury report all week long. Raimann has been dealing with a sickness and will push through as long as it’s not life-threatening, while Bachie’s quadricep injury is a bit trickier, given that said injury wasn’t on the post-game injury report following the Week 2 win over Denver but popped up later on. Again, physical availability may not be the issue here, but it’s certainly worth noting that it may result in a drop-off in play.
