NFL Week 3: PrizePicks best prop bets

Each week, we will analyze some of the best bets on PrizePicks with the help of the new PFF Player Prop Tool. Betting insights, matchup data and historical hit rates are just a few features of the tool.

Here are two props that stand out ahead of Week 3 of the 2025 NFL season.

WR Dontayvion Wicks, Green Bay Packers: Over 33.5 receiving yards

The Green Bay Packers are without receiver Jayden Reed for the next six to eight weeks after he underwent surgery to repair a broken collarbone suffered in their Week 2 victory over the Washington Commanders and a broken foot suffered during training camp. Additionally, Christian Watson opened the season on the PUP list as he recovers from a torn ACL suffered at the end of the 2024 season.

Third-year wideout Dontayvion Wicks is off to a great start, ranking fourth among 104 qualifying wide receivers in PFF receiving grade (82.2). He’s coming off a game in which he caught four of six targets for 44 yards and was utilized heavily in the slot, where he ran 59.1% of his routes.

This week, the Packers travel to Cleveland to take on the Browns, who have been stout against the run early this season. Their 85.6 team PFF run-defense grade is by far the highest in the NFL, and they just held the Ravens‘ potent duo of Derrick Henry and Lamar Jackson to a combined 36 yards on 13 attempts (2.76 yards per carry).

The Packers may be forced to lean on their passing game more than usual in Week 3, which bodes well for Wicks. Cleveland has two talented cornerbacks on the outside in Denzel Ward and Greg Newsome II but is vulnerable inside with second-year pro Myles Harden, who ranks 81st out of 101 qualifying cornerbacks in PFF coverage grade (47.4).

The PFF Player Prop Tool projects Wicks to account for 37.8 receiving yards, making his 33.5 line a good value and one that I am targeting this weekend.

RB Jahmyr Gibbs, Detroit Lions: Over 3.5 receptions

Gibbs ranks third among running backs in targets per game, catching all 13 passes thrown his way over the first two weeks of the season. This week, he faces a Baltimore Ravens defense that ranks 30th in targets allowed to running backs.

Dating back to Week 14 of last season, Gibbs has caught four or more passes in seven of eight games, with the lone exception being last week against the Chicago Bears. In that contest, the Lions never trailed and were up by double-digit points for most of the second half. With a road primetime game in Baltimore up next, Detroit will likely face a far different game script as a 4.5-point underdog, which could force the offense to pass more often.

The PFF Player Prop Tool projects Gibbs to see a heavy target share (6.6 targets) with 5.5 receptions, which is great value for his current 3.5-reception prop line.
