Now that Week 2 of the 2025 NFL season is in the books, it’s time for an incredibly meaningful and serious exercise: NFL Power Rankings! What differentiates these rankings from all the others is that they’re THE only truly accurate ones in the entire universe. Hard to believe, I know. Let’s take a look at how all 32 teams stack up.
– Philadelphia Eagles (Last Week: 1) – The Eagles need to figure out their passing offense but Vic Fangio’s defense sure seems like it’s going to be good again.
– Buffalo Bills (LW: 2) – The Bills are probably going to run away with the AFC East once again.
– Baltimore Ravens (LW: 3) – Lamar Jackson is one of the best regular season players of all time.
– Green Bay Packers (LW: 4) – The Packers might be the best team in the NFC. Adding Micah Parsons was a great move for them; that defense looks pretty legit.
– Tampa Bay Buccaneers (LW: 6) – The Bucs are scary since they’re looking good and might only get better once Tristan Wirfs and Chris Godwin return. Losing Calijah Kancey hurts, though.
– Los Angeles Rams (LW: 7) – Rumors of Matthew Stafford’s demise were an exaggeration.
– Los Angeles Chargers (LW: 8) – Very strong start to the season for the Bolts, who beat two AFC West rivals to get to 2-0. Long way to go … but maybe they’ll win their division?!
– Detroit Lions (LW: 9) – Much-needed rebound for the Lions after a troubling Week 1 performance. Detroit’s offense can still cook even though Ben Johnson is gone. Almost like there’s more to the offense than the offensive coordinator.
– Kansas City Chiefs (LW: 5) – Rough start … but does anyone truly believe Patrick Mahomes won’t be in the AFC Championship Game for the first time in his career? I’ll take you up on that bet, if so.
– San Francisco 49ers (LW: 12) – The Niners are 2-0 despite bad injury lucky that’s already plaguing them. They’re below the clear top five in the NFC but they have the potential to jump up into that group over the course of the season.
– Washington Commanders (LW: 11) – Hm, it’s almost like building the oldest roster in recent NFL history wasn’t a good idea? Multiple Commanders veterans went down with serious injuries in Week 2. Jayden Daniels is also now banged up.
– Cincinnati Bengals (LW: 10) – They’re 2-0 but Joe Burrow is out for a long time. Jake Browning might not leave them totally hopeless but it’s looking like a lost season.
– Indianapolis Colts (LW: 24) – The Colts have the NFL’s best point differential through two games. Who would’ve thought? Is this an early season mirage like the Saints last year? Or could the Colts be this year’s version of the 2024 Vikings? At the very least, I like their chances to win a bad AFC South.
– Dallas Cowboys (LW: 18) – The Cowboys’ offense has the ability to put up points. Which they’ll need to keep doing if their defense continues to be a big issue.
– Arizona Cardinals (LW: 19) – The Cardinals are 2-0 but they’ve yet to pass the eye test.
– Seattle Seahawks (LW: 22) – Impressive road win in Pittsburgh after nearly pulling off an upset against the 49ers in Week 1. Hard to love their ceiling with Sam Darnold at quarterback but they might have a solid floor.
– Atlanta Falcons (LW: 21) – Bijan Robinson being able to do the heavy lifting at times is going to be a big help for Michael Penix. Impressive road win to go into Minnesota and dominate, even if the Vikings’ quarterback isn’t good.
– Denver Broncos (LW: 16) – The Broncos have been solid yet unspectacular thus far. Interested to see how they fare in an important division matchup against the Chargers in Week 3. It’ll be hard to take them seriously if they lose that.
– Pittsburgh Steelers (LW: 13) – After Packers Aaron Rodgers showed up in Week 2, Jets Aaron Rodgers showed up in Week 2. Watch him alternate between these two versions as the Steelers ultimately finish 9-8.
– Houston Texans (LW: 15) – C.J. Stroud was crowned way too early. He hasn’t been helped by a bad offensive line but he’s not blameless for Houston’s 0-2 start.
– Minnesota Vikings (LW: 14) – Carson Wentz is starting for them now. Yikes.
– Las Vegas Raiders (LW: 20) – More like GeNO Smith. Insane how national analysts like to rank him over Jalen Hurts. Get real.
– Jacksonville Jaguars (LW: 23) – People seem to be catching on to the fact that Trevor Lawrence isn’t actually good. It wasn’t just Doug Pederson’s fault.
– New England Patriots (LW: 26) – After a shaky Week 1 where he was tasked with 46 passing attempts, Drake Maye shined in a Week 2 game where he only had to throw 23 times.
– New York Jets (LW: 25) – Making the playoffs after an 0-2 start is very rare. The Jets’ 14-season drought will likely extend another year.
– Chicago Bears (LW: 17) – Caleb Williams is abysmal.
– Cleveland Browns (LW: 27) – With games against the Packers and Lions up next, the Browns are staring 0-4 in the face. It’ll soon be time to start Dillon Gabriel. And then Shedeur Sanders if Gabriel really struggles.
– Tennessee Titans (LW: 28) – They’re bad but they weren’t expected to be good. At least they’re not wasting time by playing a dead-end veteran, unlike other teams. Cam Ward is getting some valuable developmental experience.
– New York Giants (LW: 31) – Week 2 was a really bad result for the Giants. They’re now 0-2 overall and in the division. But that doesn’t really matter since the Giants aren’t in position to seriously contend in 2025. The Giants should be more concerned about their long-term outlook, which isn’t helped by Russell Wilson playing more. And Wilson looked too good to bench, which only delays playing Jaxson Dart.
– Carolina Panthers (LW: 29) – They fought back after going down 24 points … but it was too little, too late.
– Miami Dolphins (LW: 30) – The NFL’s worst vibes team was more competitive in Week 2 but they still lost. The clock is ticking on Mike McDaniel.
– New Orleans Saints (LW: 32) – To their credit, they’ve lost two one-score games. They’ve been a little more competitive than expected. But they’re probably going to start 0-4.
