With the bummer of an injury to defensive back Ahkello Witherspoon, the Los Angeles Rams may need to consider some outside help to sure up their position. They also could just keep their solutions in-house, but is that the best plan?
What do you think the Rams should do at their cornerback/defensive back position? Is there anyone out there that you want to see the Rams look at? Is there anyone internal that you want to see the Rams give the nod to?
Hopefully you enjoyed the Monday night games, I love football, but two Monday night games is a lot, but it is fun, it is fun.
Please comment on whatever you want, thanks for checking out today’s Random Ramsdom and thanks for checking out Turf Show Times!
“The Rams’ secondary will be shorthanded for a notable period. Cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon was placed on injured reserve Monday, per a team announcement.
Witherspoon is dealing with a broken clavicle. Today’s move ensures he will miss at least the next four games. A return could take place as early as Week 7, although that contest will be followed by the Rams’ bye week. It would come as no surprise if Witherspoon were to only be back in the fold after that point.“
5 CBs the Rams could sign to replace Ahkello Witherspoon (ramswire)
“More than likely, the Rams will add a fourth player to that rotation. Two of the clearest options are practice squad players A.J. Green or Cam Lampkin, but L.A. could also dip into the free agency pool to add a veteran if they want to find a more serviceable starter who could inherit Witherspoon’s snaps. Forbes Jr. and Durant will likely be the starters with Williams as CB3, but there are a few solid options on the open market the Rams could bring to L.A. as a good replacement.”
Rams PFF grades: Best and worst performers vs. Titans (ramswire)
“Pro Football Focus released grades for every player who suited up for the Rams in Week 2 and we’re analyzing them by grouping the best and worst performers on each side of the ball. There were five standouts on offense who had grades of 78 or higher, while the defense had two players with grades that were at least 89.3.
Here’s a look at the best and worst players on offense and defense from Sunday’s win (min. 10 snaps).“
