- Missouri’s Ahmad Hardy continues his strong start: Hardy was electric in Missouri’s win, erupting for 249 rushing yards. While his 11.9 yards per carry jump off the page, his 7.9 yards after contact per attempt is even more eye-popping.
- Indiana’s Fernando Mendoza takes care of business: While the level of competition certainly plays a role, it’s tough to look past Mendoza for Quarterback of the Week honors after a near-flawless outing. He finished with just one incompletion and an impressive 14.3% big-time throw rate.

Offensive Player of the Week: Ahmad Hardy, Missouri
Hardy was electric in Missouri’s win, erupting for 249 rushing yards. While his 11.9 yards per carry jump off the page, his 7.9 yards after contact per attempt is even more eye-popping. He forced 12 missed tackles in the game, bringing his season total to 27 through just three weeks.
Defensive Player & Pass Rusher of the Week: Keyshawn James-Newby, New Mexico
James-Newby played a pivotal role in New Mexico’s win over UCLA, generating 12 total pressures on just 30 pass-rushing snaps. His dominance translated to a 91.1 PFF pass-rushing grade — the third-highest mark of his college career.
Offensive Line of the Week: Missouri
Missouri’s offensive line didn’t allow a single pressure this week, with the lone pressure they allowed coming from a tight end. They were also dominant on the ground, rushing for 439 yards.
Quarterback of the Week: Fernando Mendoza, Indiana
While the level of competition certainly plays a role, it’s tough to look past Mendoza for Quarterback of the Week honors after a near-flawless outing. He finished with just one incompletion and an impressive 14.3% big-time throw rate.
Run Defender of the Week: George Gumbs Jr., Florida
Gumbs didn’t contribute much as a pass-rusher — keeping him off both the National and SEC Team of the Week — but he made his presence felt in the run game. He recorded four tackles that resulted in defensive stops and added a forced fumble for good measure.
Coverage Defender of the Week: Leonard Moore, Notre Dame
Moore stood out in Notre Dame’s loss to Texas A&M, earning a 90.8 PFF coverage grade. Targeted five times across 40 coverage snaps, he surrendered just one 11-yard catch while tallying two pass breakups and an interception.
