The 0-2 New York Giants play their first home game of the 2025 NFL season on Sunday night. They are currently 5.5-point underdogs in that contest to the stunningly also 0-2 Kansas City Chiefs, per FanDuel Sportsbook. The Giants are -255 on the moneyline, with an over/under of 43.5 points.
The Giants are, of course, coming off a gut-wrenching 40-37 overtime loss on Sunday to the Dallas Cowboys. Russell Wilson threw for 450 yards and three touchdowns, and it took a 64-yard field goal by Brandon Aubrey of the Cowboys to force overtime. The Giants, though, are 0-2 for the third straight season and seventh time in nine years. It is familiar territory.
It is entirely unfamiliar for the Chiefs, who have been to three straight Super Bowls, winning in 2023 and 2024. This is the first time since 2014 that the Chiefs have opened a season with back-to-back losses.
Kansas City lost its season-opener to the Los Angeles Chargers, 27-21, then lost a Super Bowl rematch to the Philadelphia Eagles, 20-17.
