The New York Giants fell to 0-2 on Sunday with a 40-37 overtime loss to the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The Giants have now lost 16 of 17 games to the Cowboys.
After a long Russell Wilson pass was intercepted by Donovan Wilson of the Cowboys with 2:00 left in overtime, Brandon Aubrey hit a 46-yard field goal on the game’s final play to give Dallas the victory. The Cowboys moved 42 yards in four plays to set up the winning kick.
Dallas had the ball three times and the Giants twice in overtime.
“This one hurts,” said head coach Brian Daboll. “This one’s tough. These guys battled.
“Our guys gave everything they had.”
A wild fourth quarter
There were 41 points scored in the fourth quarter, 21 by the Giants and 20 by Dallas, capped by Brandon Aubrey’s 64-yard game-tying field goal with :05 to go to force overtime. The lead changed hands four times before Aubrey tied it on the final play of regulation.
Wilson threw a 33-yard touchdown pass to Wan’Dale Robinson on a fourth-and-4 and a 48-yard moon ball touchdown to Malik Nabers with :25 to play. Cam Skattebo also ran for a 1-yard fourth-quarter TD.
Dallas got 44 and 64-yard field goals from Aubrey, a 4-yard run from Miles Sanders and a 6-yard touchdown pass from Dak Prescott to George Pickens in the fourth quarter.

- Wilson went 30 of 41 for 450 yards, 3 touchdowns and an interception.
- Robinson had 8 catches for a career-best 142 yards. It was only the second 100-yard receiving game of Robinson’s four-year career.
- Malik Nabers had 9 catches for 170 yards and a 48-yard fourth-quarter score.
- The Giants had 506 yards of total offense. Dallas had 478.
- The Giants had 14 penalties for 160 yards. The Cowboys committed 12 penalties, costing them 106 yards.

The Giants led at the half 13-10, thanks to two Graham Gano field goals and a 29-yard touchdown pass from Wilson to Nabers.
