The 2025 NFL season is officially in full swing and the Philadelphia Eagles will face their first road test on Sunday in Kansas City.

They’ll be competing against a Chiefs team fresh off a season opening loss in Brazil, and a team that still has a sour taste after the Eagles stomped on them in the Super Bowl earlier this year. Bitterness doesn’t always translate to success, and the Chiefs have several things they’ll need to clean up if they want a chance to beat the Eagles.

Still, Nick Sirianni’s team has its own list of things to fix coming off their Week 1 divisional win against the Cowboys. The Eagles may have found a way to win, but even before the first snap, things were sloppy, and it didn’t get a whole lot better. Plus, they lost several players to injury, and FB Ben VanSumeren is now out for the season, and they had to bring in RB Tank Bigsby because RB Will Shipley has a fractured rib.

Still, with Jalen Carter eligible to play in this weekend’s matchup, the Eagles defense should look a lot better than they did against Dak Prescott and Co. last week. They’re still looking for some guys in the secondary to step up, like Adoree’ Jackson and Andrew Mukuba, in Week 2.

The offense will assuredly be trying to get A.J. Brown more than one target against the Chiefs, but the party line is that as long as they’re winning, there are no problems with how the ball is being distributed — even still, Sirianni acknowledged they need to find ways to get the ball in Brown’s hands more often. The WR should have more opportunities on Sunday, too, with Dallas Goedert out with a knee sprain.

Here’s everything you need to know about how to watch the game.
