Week 1 was rough for Miami Dolphins fans to watch, with the team looking like they had not realized the regular season started. The team was going through the motions, but never really competed against the Indianapolis Colts. Now, they face the New England Patriots, the first of three-straight games against AFC East division rivals, trying to shake off whatever it was that produced their Week 1 results.
The Patriots are also coming off a loss, having dropped a home game to the Las Vegas Raiders last weekend. Both teams will be looking to right their own ship at the expense of a division opponent. And both teams are likely viewing this game as a winnable contest.
Fans wanting to watch this game may be out of luck unless they happen to be in very specific markets. As of Thursday morning, the Patriots-Dolphins game will be aired on local CBS networks in the southern half of Florida, including Tampa Bay, Fort Myers, Miami, and West Palm Beach. The western half of the panhandle will also see the game, ranging from just west of Tallahassee through Pensacola and on into Mobile, Alabama.
Heading north from Mobile, most of Alabama will also have the game.
In the New England region, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, and some of northern New York, will air the game.
Hawaii is also scheduled to get the game.
Local affiliates could still look to trade for or out of the game. We will update the television viewing area later this week if anything changes. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. Eastern on Sunday.
