Micah Parson was recently traded by the Dallas Cowboys to the Green Bay Packers, and it was the type of trade that shocked the league, other news that may have shocked the league (specifically the Packers) is that Parsons has been dealing with a back injury, which they must’ve known, but did they know that Parsons may need an injection to potentially play in Week 1?
For all the consternation surrounding Matthew Stafford’s back, shouldn’t observers be worried about Parsons? Are you telling me that Parsons will be able to bounce off offensive lineman, make the tackle and keep his back in good shape? I am going to guess that Parsons will actually be fine over the course of the season, but he may need a week or two to get into football shape (I can be wrong).
Either way, this is a storyline to follow as much as Stafford’s back is a storyline to follow. Any differences? Stafford is a quarterback while Parsons is a defensive monster, but the Packers just sent away two firsts, a stud defensive tackle and paid Parsons a gigantic sum of money. So yes, there are differences, but that doesn’t mean the Packers shouldn’t have real concerns.
Again, I think Parsons will be fine, I think Stafford will be fine, but what I think isn’t always right. These are stories to keep an eye on.

Sources: Packers’ Micah Parsons has joint sprain in his back (espn)
“GREEN BAY, Wis. — New Green Bay Packers defensive end Micah Parsons has been dealing with an L4/L5 facet joint sprain in his back and he may receive an injection before Sunday’s game against the Detroit Lions if needed to help him play, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Monday.
Before trading Parsons last week, the Dallas Cowboys prescribed him a five-day course of prednisone, an anti-inflammatory corticosteroid to help him recover from back tightness. They also had him on a physical therapy program.“
Matthew Stafford’s Status Leading Up To Los Angeles Rams Vs Houston Texans And New Uniform Talk (lafbnetwork)

What is the status of Matthew Stafford and Alaric Jackson? Any other injury updates?“
Rams share awesome behind-the-scenes footage from camp and preseason in new video (ramswire)
“The Los Angeles Rams were busy this summer, going to Hawaii for minicamp and Loyola Marymount for training camp, followed by three preseason games. Matthew Stafford dealt with a back injury and Kyren Williams signed a contract extension, too, so there was always something going on with Sean McVay’s team.
Fans don’t get to see everything that goes on behind the scenes, but the Rams do a good job of filling them in with their series, “Behind The Grind,” each offseason. They released a new episode on Tuesday and there’s a ton of awesome insight and exclusive footage in the 50-minute video.“
