The New York Giants are going to have to deal with Terry McLaurin Week 1 when they face the Washington Commanders. The star wide receiver, who had been a hold-in as he sought a new contract, has agreed to a three-year, $96 million extension with the team.
McLaurin, 29, has had more than 1,000 receiving yards in each of the past five seasons. The only time in his six-year career he fell short of that mark with in his 2019 rookie season, when he compiled 919 receiving yards. McLaurin is a two-time Pro-Bowler who has caught at least 77 passes in each of the last five seasons.
The Commanders are favored over the Giants by 6.5 points, per FanDuel Sportsbook. That spread may widen with the news McFadden will play.
The Giants added cornerback Paulson Adebo and safety Jevon Holland to a revamped secondary. McLaurin and Washington quarterback Jayden Daniels will provide an early test.
