The NFL’s 2025 deadline for teams to move from the 90-man preseason roster size down to the regular season’s 53-man limit is Tuesday. As of 4 p.m. Eastern, every team will have had to complete its cuts, set its initial 53-man active roster, and prepare to build a 16-man practice squad. Of course, throughout the next week, the initial roster can and will change as players are claimed off waivers, free agents are signed, and injured players are moved between the active roster and the various reserve lists.
We will keep up with all of the cuts being made by the Dolphins right here, collecting any articles about the moves as well as tracking who made the roster and who did not.
Two quick notes: First, the Dolphins have a roster exemption for offensive lineman Bayron Matos as a member of the league’s International Player Pathway program, allowing them to carry 91 players on the roster. Second, though he is not allowed to practice until being activated off the physically unable to perform list, because he is on an active list, offensive lineman Liam Eichenberg still counts against the roster limit.
